I had a pleasant stay at the Mayan Palace, which is quite close to the marina district, making it convenient for exploring. The room was spacious, although it showed some signs of age. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, but I was disappointed with some hidden charges during check-in that felt unexpected. The pools were lovely, and the adults-only area was a great touch for some quiet time. Unfortunately, the lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms and at the pool was a downside.
